For as long as I can remember, I have loved arts and crafts. From my Crayola crayons and markers of childhood to my beloved Graphic 45 papers in adulthood, art has been a constant presence throughout my life. In middle school, I wanted to write and illustrate books like Dr. Seuss, but in high school, I followed my head and not my heart. The love of art never went away, but it took a back seat as I studied my way through undergraduate and graduate school, then a fellowship and eventual career in healthcare. But that creative spark never left...

Over the years, I dabbled in traditional scrapbooking, oil painting (think Bob Ross), quilting, and home decor. Everything changed in 2016 when I stumbled across a YouTube video of a mini album. I had never heard of such a thing and I was hooked immediately! I still have my very first attempt at a mini album in my craft room! Eventually, I was brave enough to start a YouTube channel and taught myself how to record and edit videos!

In 2020, I joined the FotoBella Design Team and was proud to design for them for 2 years. Using paper from specialty brands such as Stamperia, Graphic 45, and Simple Stories, I designed projects and tutorials for their blog readers. The opportunity promoted me as a designer and allowed me to reach outside my comfort zone and try new types of projects and various new mediums.

In 2021, my "design team dream" came true and I was selected as a Graphic 45 Brand Ambassador. Since discovering Graphic 45 papers in 2016, I have been a fan and now own every collection they have released - that's over 100 collections now!Even though I have completed my brand ambassador terms with Graphic 45, the paper collections they make continue to be my favorite. I will continue to design with the gorgeous Graphic 45 papers as they inspire me to create something beautiful!

Much of my inspiration comes from the papers I choose for my projects. Of course, Graphic 45 being my favorite, you will see it in many of my designs and digitals tutorials. With the right paper to inspire me, I feel so full of possibilities and have so many ideas of what to create!

​

When I launched K. Nichole Designs, Limited, I wanted to fill a void in the paper crafting market. Personally, I love to travel, especially internationally, and make mini albums of my travel adventures. However, it can be impossible at times to find coordinating embellishments for my trips. It is my hope over the next few years to design many travel-themed sets for various destinations around the world. 

​

Teaching others how to create something out of paper can be so much fun. I don't want anyone to feel overwhelmed and give up on crafting. From the beginner to the most advanced crafter, we all can make art from the heart. I truly believe arts and crafts ground us in the present moment and is so therapeutic.
